TEMPO.CO, Jakarta - The police arrested a young man suspected of posing a threat to President Joko Widodo a.k.a. Jokowi. HS (25) was arrested at the Metro Housing Complex in Parung, Bogor Regency, on May 12. "He was arrested at around 8:00 a.m.," Metro Jaya Police spokesman Sr. Comr. Argo Yuwono said in a written statement. A video recording shows HS standing among a crowd of protesters in front of the General Election Supervisory Agency's (Bawaslu) office. In the video, the young man claimed to be from Poso, Central Sulawesi. He said that he was ready to decapitate Jokowi`s head. Later it was discovered that HS was actually as a resident of Palmerah, West Jakarta, who now resides in Parung, Bogor. Argo said that HS' remark falls under the category of violent threat, which is a violation of both the Criminal Code and the ITE Act.
